Monastery Life

p1050465.jpgI just looked at the calendar today and realized that I have been here in India for 8 weeks already. Wow the time has just flow by.  I still have another 6 weeks to experience life here and now have a nice little routine.  My day is divided into time for my practice, studying the Dharma, learning Tibetan, and work (working with the Education Department right now).It has been wonderful to have time to devote to practice and meditation.

With time going so fast I thought it would be nice to post some pictures of life here a the monastery from a “behind the scenes” perspective. Below are some of the sights of everyday life here at the monastery. Rather than ramble on, I will let the pictures speak for themselves. I hope you enjoy.

Greetings, Chopel! Thank you for the photos. They help me gain a better understanding of your home monastery. You are so computer savvy! I followed your facebook link, noted the need for money and what fine gentlemen the monks are, so hopefully some of my friends will respond to your request. Thank you for all that you are!
