It is always such a pleasure to have the Monks visit. We often laugh about they're being "The best house guests we ever have!".

The blessings your work bestows on our community is not missed by anyone in our village. We can't wait to see you again.

[...] The current tour started in December, 2007 and will probably finish around May, 2009. The tours have been lead for 19 years by Venerable Lobsang Wangchuk. He has selflessly devoted the last 19 years of his life in service of the monastery and these tours have helped rebuild Gaden Shartse, feed and house the monks, and bring the precious Dharma to the United States.I joined the tour in July of 2008 to assist Venerable Lobsang and train to become the next tour leader. So, though they have been here much longer, the blog will start when I joined them on our visit to beautiful Yachats, Oregon. [...]
